Visualization is a method used to help people achieve their desired outcomes. The purpose is to obtain something in the future by imagining that you already have it now. Before anything is created it’s a simple thought first. By visualizing your desires you’re one step closer to achieving them. 

Returning to your past is part of the Reunite with You journey, so when you utilize a visualization you aren’t just envisioning the future. The goal is to remember your genuine sense of self and bring it into the present moment. From there, picture or feel how you can integrate your identity so that it follows you into the future.

Use the following visualization when you need to reconnect with your mind, body, and spirit. Let yourself be guided by the inner knowledge that all three aspects have to offer. They can provide you with answers to your biggest questions, thus helping you regain self-control.

Find a quiet space where you can take a few moments to connect with and align your mind, body, and spirit -your brain, gut, and heart. All three elements have their own intelligence meant to give you unique insights when you’re faced with a decision. Learn to utilize them equally so that you can compare them and make a complete choice.


Begin by finding a comfortable position either seated or lying down. Then place your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your lower stomach. Now take a deep breath into your belly. Focus on directing the air into your stomach so that it inflates like a balloon. If you find that your shoulders or chest are lifting, try to physically push out your stomach as you breathe in. Practice this deep belly breathing for another 5-10 breathes. This type of breathing increases the amount of oxygen in your body, so don’t be alarmed if you start to feel a little light-headed. If you do, it may help to slow down your breathes even more and exhale the air through your mouth.

After you’ve completed these deep breathes you should feel a wave of relaxation and weightlessness throughout your body. The additional oxygen helps to reduce stress levels and lower your heart rate. Now that you’re able to use this deep breathing technique you’ll use it to focus on the mind, body, and spirit.


While staying in your comfortable seated or lying down position, close your eyes and resume the deep belly breathing. As you breathe, bring your thoughts and awareness to your stomach. Imagine that the air coming into your body is a bright red-orange color and it’s aimed only at your belly. Continue breathing and let your stomach fill with puffs of the red-orange air. Visualize that at the center of your stomach, where the air’s the strongest, is the home of your body intelligence. Feel the energy of your breath and how it turns on this point of power.

Now that your body intelligence is activated, turn your awareness towards your heart. As you continue breathing deeply, focus the air and your energy to the center of your heart. Imagine that the air coming into your heart is a serene yellow-green color. Let your heart open more and more with each breath you take. Visualize the center of your heart -home of your spirit- collecting and filling with color. Once the spirit intelligence is awakened, bring your consciousness to your head.

When your awareness reaches your head, direct your energy and breath to your brain. The brain is home to your mind intelligence, which can be tricky to quiet down in order to feel it fully. So use your deep breathing to guide the calming effects of oxygen to your head. Imagine that the air coming into your body is now a blue-purple color and let it fill your brain. Allow your mind to become light and colorful as you continue breathing deeply and fully. Visualize your mind opening to reveal the core of your mind intelligence. See how it collects the blue-purple air as it ignites with energy.


With your mind, body, and spirit intelligences activated, take 3-5 more deep belly breathes and let the air spread throughout your entire body. Visualize the energy from each area coming together and swirling around. Separately they have individual strengths, but together they create a powerful rainbow of energy. Imagine this rainbow effect and let your whole body work, breathe, and exist as one. At this moment you are the complete expression of you -mind, body, and spirit. The more they come together, the more you can listen to what each one has to say; thus bringing balance to your decisions that align with your purpose.
